Does True love actually exist?
True Love is one of the most talked about words in the world. We hear about love in our daily lives. Most of the movies we watch, the songs we vibe to and indeed our human interactions all revolve around the concept of love. It then begs the question, if love is the very essence of life, why is the world in constant chaos and turbulence?
Does True love exist, or is it just a vague term that describes an ephemeral feeling amongst humans? These are pertinent questions that need painstaking research and widespread publication. Perhaps the concept and dynamics of love have metamorphosed over the years, but mankind has failed to adjust accordingly. Maybe that is why the world is in chaos despite all tales and preaching about love. Love is a broad term that can be used in various scenarios, but in this post, we shall be limiting our use of love to the feelings expressed amongst individuals.
Are men capable of loving?
There is a widespread notion among women that men are incapable of loving. They argue that most men cannot love one woman for long. They believe men are polygamous, so they are wired to love a woman for a short period of time, after which they seek to court another woman to be with. This view about men is highly contentious, though, as many men have been seen to thrive in a monogamous setting.
Personally, I think there should be a word to describe a man’s kind of love. A man’s kind of love is extremely different from a woman’s kind of love. Women are emotional being,s and their love is traceable to the activities in the brain. When a woman is in love, she expresses the feelings through her eyes, words, body language and care.

But this is not so with most men. A man’s love constitutes responsibilities, the ability to sympathize, humor and care. It has very little to do with emotion or the physiology of the brain. This is why most women think men are incapable of loving. I think this is unfair to men. They expect men to be emotional and express love the way they do, but men are not wired that way.
What True Love is not
People often misconstrue the true essence of love. Most people only pretend to be in love for the aesthetics; they never really connect with their partner beyond the physical. True love should transcend the aesthetics, glitz and glamour on display when partners step out for dinners or events.
Lovers need to be extremely comfortable in the presence of each other. They must be open and transparent in every aspect of their lives. And they must be mutually understanding and have lots of communication, almost on a telepathic level. Any relationship lacking these qualities is hardly built in love.
Also, love is not a business venture. It is not an avenue for one party to capitalize on the others’ feelings to rip them of their resources.
What True Love is
Love can be expressed in several ways. True love is usually seen in a family setting. It is often said that nothing can compare to the love a mother has for her child. Motherly love is the greatest kind of love, it goes beyond physiology or the activities in the brain. It cannot be explained, it is magical and bigger than life itself.
Family love between siblings raised in a good home is also another kind of pure love. Siblings are protective and show true love to one another. Family love is a great form of love because it is not built on interest. Family members show love to each other without expecting anything in return.
The greatest relationships between partners are those built on the family kind of love, where partners do not expect much favours from each other. If people go into relationships without really expecting much from their partners but focus on investing more resources like time, then such relationships are bound to succeed.
Places where True Love are Witnessed
1. Airport
We’ve seen short video clips of people who go to airports to welcome their family members or partners from trips. In such clips, we see raw and unfiltered expressions of love, where people jump and hug each other with tears of joy. The airport is one of the few places where true love is displayed.
2. Hospital
Pure love is also witnessed in the hospital. Family caregivers display some of the greatest kind of affection to their sick relative on admission. Family members go as far as rescheduling their programs or missing out on events to take care of their sick relatives.
Also, patients who are terminally ill and living their last days on earth receive some of the purest form of love. A hospital is always a place of tranquillity and self-reflection where people ponder on the essence of life. During this period of sober reflection, people often show great affection to the people around them.
3. Religious Centers
People show true love and affection at religious centers like churches and mosques. Most religions are built on the foundation of love and care for humanity. So, it is normal to see people who display God’s kind of love in places of worship. This kind of love is often classified as pure because it is not built on interest.
Conclusion
It probably still exist,s but true love is rare and difficult to come by. Also, pure is easier to find within a family unit than in spousal relationships.
